Tools and Software for Milbeaut® products

The ‘SC2000 Smart-Kit’ is a camera reference design-kit which enables rapid development of mobile cameras (e.g. flying cameras, action cameras, wearable cameras) and Digital Still Cameras (DSCs) with advanced features and high image quality.

The ‘SC2000 Smart-Kit‘ SDK will enable easy code development for above applications and consists of three parts:

  • Cortex-M0 FreeRTOS based: Initializes SOC. Handles power management. Loads CA7 bootstrap code.
  • Cortex-A7 T-kernel based: Controls ISP and loader for MILB_SDK and Linux. Supplied as binary only / cannot be changed.
  • Cortex-A7 Linux based: Interacts with ISP via MILB_SDK interface. For user-specific functionality.

Build environment:

All components are built under Linux Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS 64-bit using pre-installed environment. The pre-installed environment runs as a virtual machine.

Note: The ‘SC2000 Smart Kit ‘ is a reference design product on its own which offers a sub-set of features of the included SC2000 ISP from Socionext.  Due to the high-complexity of the SC2000 ISP, the amount of accessible functions had to be restricted to typical use-cases.  Therefore, certain parts of the included SDK are delivered in binary form only.

The ‘SC2000 Evaluation Board‘ is a multifunctional hardware target system for the SC2000 ISP from Socionext.

It can be used for software development, testing of hardware components and interfaces. The board enables the user to start with the development before his own final hardware is available. External debuggers can be connected to access to the built-in processors cores.
All external functions of the SC2000 ISP are accessible from the main board and in addition several add-on modules can be used to test external peripheral functionality such as WiFi access or display connectivity (sold separately).


Note:

  • This board must only be used for test applications

and under a laboratory environment.

  • This board is a hardware target only and does not include any SDK or further software. Please contact Socionext for more information. (hyperlink to infomail)

To kick start your surveillance application development, we offer the ‘M11S Evaluation Board‘ based on the Socionext SC2002 ISP.
 

The system mainly consists of a main board based on the SC2002 ISP, NAND flash memory, DDR3 SDRAM, oscillators and other peripherals as well as a CMOS image sensor board.

The SC2002 Evaluation board can be used stand alone for software development and testing. The board enables the user to start with the development before his own final target is available. All external functions of the SC2002 ISP are accessible from the main board.

The M11S Evaluation Board includes an SDK, example applications and a build environment. All components are built under Linux Ubuntu 14.04.5 LTS 64 bit using pre-installed environment. The pre-installed pre-build environment runs as a virtual machine.


Notes:

  • This board must only be used for test applications

and under laboratory environment.

  • The board includes a standard sensor module for IMX290, but comes without a lens (as lenses usually depend on the application). So a ‘CS mount lens module ‘ needs to be prepared by the customer. Contact Socionext before purchasing an M11S EVB if you have any questions.
  • Other Sony sensors than the included IMX290 are also supported. Contact Socionext for a list of supported sensors.
