Lecture description
Modern vehicle systems are placing increasingly demanding requirements on the display and signal-processing chain within the cockpit. Graphic Display Controllers (GDCs) play a central role as the interface between computing platforms, safety architectures, and high-resolution display units. This presentation examines the system integration of modern GDC solutions and highlights upcoming challenges related to functional safety, tamper protection, and resilience against cyberattacks. A particular focus is placed on the growing complexity of displays. Technologies such as local dimming and warping techniques require powerful yet safety-compliant controller architectures.
