Socionext supporting ‘ELIV’ as a Gold Sponsor on 18-19 October in Bonn, Germany
ELIV (ELectronics In Vehicles)
ELIV is one of the most important event for anyone involved in the integration of mechanical and electronic systems within the automotive environment. Current issues were a particular feature this year which included eMobility, Automated Driving, Driver Assistance Systems and the Connected Car.
The World Conference Center in Bonn was a new venue for the conference and exhibition, having moved from its previous home in Baden-Baden. This move was deemed to be a complete success with 1,700 visitors passing through the doors, where 145 exhibitors were available to discuss their range of products, and in the conference facilities more than 70 specialist lectures and plenary talks took place.
Interactive participation of visitors was positively encouraged. At the start of a conference attendees were invited to vote on the most important issues and challenges in the industry. The result was transferred in real-time as TED (Teledialog) to the video walls so that they could be included in the discussions. Autonomous driving at 69% came out as one of the most important elements with cyber security becoming a much more important issue.
Safety and security were a key part of Socionext’s range of products at the event where visitors were most interested in the video link and display technology which has been demonstrated.
